She was always staring at this same blank screen. Nothingness. There never seemed to be anything for her really. Evil thoughts would take over her mind. There was nothing she could do about it, no one to talk to. No one else was being taken over by these thoughts. Her friends never understood when it all started you see. Their minds we’re still young and naive. They would stare at these gummy scars on her wrists, shaking their heads, disapproval in their eyes. Although Triangle Head’s friends had not yet been through the same as she had they had been through problems of their own, many of these problems were caused by Triangle Head, she used to be a bully you see. Triangle Head’s friends were always trying to get her to go places with them, they said it was fun. One day Triangle Head decided to go with her friends one Friday night. It was strange. Nothing Triangle Head would have imagined her friends to be doing on a Friday night; strange people, strange songs, strange atmosphere. Although Triangle Head didn’t quite understand these Friday nights just yet she kept going with her friends. She started to get happier. Just as Triangle Head’s life was getting better and happier she started to see her friends act as she used to. One day one of Triangle Head’s friends took her into the change rooms where they were alone to reveal the wounds on her wrist. Triangle Head couldn’t believe it, her friend who had always seemed so much happier in life then her had gone and done this without her having even the slightest idea? Slowly Triangle Head’s progress meant nothing. More and more anger and pain was taken out on her body, more gummy scars. Nothing made Triangle Head and her friends happy anymore. Triangle Head was failing the majority of her classes and taking interest in nothing. The Friday nights were no longer fun. Triangle Head and her friends would sit in their chairs watching everything moving around them. Triangle Head became friends with people very different to the people she used to be friends with. She found more things that seemed to make life better even if just for a moment. Cigarettes, alcohol, it all seemed good at the time really. Slowly she became addicted. Life became more and more unbearable. One night Triangle head found herself bleeding on her bedroom floor, blade in her hand she was ready to give up on it all but couldn’t bring herself to it. She couldn’t just leave all her friends and do this to the few people that actually cared about her. Triangle Head threw vast collection of blades onto the floor. She didn’t care who saw them, she just wanted the strength to stop the constant search for relief. Amazingly enough, life actually started to get better. Although she knew it was mean she started ignoring her friend’s over exaggerated and depressing blog posts. She ignored all bad and focused on the good. She started making friends with more people like herself, people who had seen depression and pain but wanted something better for themselves. Triangle Head slowly found herself returning to these people, day after day she would sit there with them, talking and watching.
